Changing your name can be confusing to friends and followers, and it can give trolls an opportunity to dodge disciplinary action. To limit confusion and mitigate trolling, name changes are not allowed in most cases.
Our support team will only update your username if it displays personally identifying information, such as your email address, or in situations where the name has been changed to a random series of numbers.
Additionally, if your account has been banned for violating our Code of Conduct regarding offensive usernames, you can appeal the suspension by agreeing to a name change.
